WHAT: ChristianaCare will host three car seat events at our campuses to educate parents and caregivers about child passenger safety. Participants will learn how to properly use car seats, booster seats and seat belts to ensure the safety of their children. Car seat checks and educational resources will be provided by our certified Child Passenger Safety Technicians.

WHO: Child Passenger Safety Technicians, parents and caregivers and more.
WHY: Motor vehicle accidents are one of the leading causes of death in children, and alarmingly, 4 out of 5 car seats are installed incorrectly. This highlights the urgent need for action to minimize preventable harm and fatalities in our community. Properly using a vehicle restraint significantly decreases the risk of hospitalization, injury, and death.
