Media Advisory: INBRE Summer Research Presentations at Christiana Hospital Aug. 13

WHAT: ChristianaCare invites members of the media to attend the culminating event of the Delaware IDeA Network of Biomedical Research Excellence (INBRE) Summer Research Program, where eight undergraduate scholars will share the results of their 10-week biomedical research projects conducted under the guidance of research mentors.

Funded by the NIH’s National Institute of General Medical Sciences and the state of Delaware, the program pairs students with experienced ChristianaCare mentors for an immersive, full-time research experience. Scholars gain technical skills, learn to analyze real-world data and contribute original findings to projects that advance health and medicine in Delaware.

This year’s group represents the breadth of Delaware’s talent pipeline, including residents who study both in state and out of state, with students from the University of Delaware, Delaware State University and Delaware Technical Community College. The event will also recognize a “Mentor of the Summer” for outstanding guidance and support.
