If you’ve got a cough, cold or respiratory symptoms, ChristianaCare now offers a new phone line that can help you get quick answers and connect to care, if you need it.
The ChristianaCare Cough and Cold Line offers assistance for adults 18 and older, Monday through Friday, 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. To access this resource, call 302-623-7400.
"With respiratory illnesses like influenza, RSV, and COVID-19 spreading in our community, we aim to ease access to care and provide guidance for managing symptoms at home. Since launching the Cough and Cold Line, community members have been reaching out for help. This new Cough and Cold Line is a simple way we can help our community and potentially reduce unnecessary emergency room visits," said Sarah Schenck, M.D., FACP, executive director of the ChristianaCare Center for Virtual Health.
According to the Centers for Disease Control, the entire East Coast is experiencing high or very high levels of influenza.
The Cough and Cold Line features a series of helpful prompts designed to guide callers through effective symptom management, allowing them to understand how to manage symptoms at home.
In addition to symptom management, the Cough and Cold Line can facilitate connections with ChristianaCare’s virtual primary care providers, ensuring that patients receive the care they need without delay.
For more urgent medical needs, ChristianaCare operates 16 Go-Health Urgent Care Centers located throughout Delaware and Maryland. Patients can conveniently save their spot in line or schedule a virtual visit by visiting https://ow.ly/PIXe50UUrNj.
