As the only health system in Delaware to offer the full range of OB-GYN subspecialty services, ChristianaCare earned recognition for its advanced maternity services at Christiana Hospital, including high-risk obstetric care, neonatal intensive care and family-centered models of care. These services are anchored by the
Center for Women’s & Children’s Health, which features a state-of-the-art NICU with private rooms designed to support families throughout their care journey and promote long-term maternal and infant wellness.
ChristianaCare’s maternity program is supported by a multidisciplinary team of more than 60 OB-GYN and maternal-fetal medicine physicians, 30 advanced practice clinicians, and more than 300 caregivers across labor, delivery and postpartum care, delivering care for more than 6,300 births annually.
ChristianaCare also supports families beyond the hospital through programs such as
Healthy Beginnings and its community health worker initiative. In 2025, the system expanded that support by launching
NeuroFlow, a digital tool that helps address postpartum mental health needs, enrolling more than 1,000 patients in its first six months.
