Bringing New Health & Wellness Services to YOU in West Grove, PA!

ChristianaCare is committed to serving our West Grove community with love and excellence.  Careful planning and design are going into our planning so that we create an innovative, state-of-the-art health and wellness space that will best serve your needs for years to come.

Completed
  • Facility name selected: When it opens in the spring of 2025, the hospital will be called ChristianaCare Hospital, West Grove.
  • Assessment of the area for the new West Grove Campus Hospital: An assessment of the property has been completed to identify the neighborhood hospital location.
  • Market research in PA Consumer Perception Survey: We completed a consumer perception study in the region to evaluate the existing health care infrastructure and identify gaps in coverage and services offered to patients.
  • Hospital design: Approval of final design for the neighborhood hospital.
  • Hospital interior demolition permits: Interior demolition plans were approved, and permits were granted to begin interior demolition.
  • Hospital construction manager: Wohlsen Construction was selected to manage the West Grove campus neighborhood hospital construction.
In Progress
  • Master campus planning: We are finalizing a comprehensive campus plan that incorporates our hospital and new health center, along with the existing Medical Office Building located on the property.
  • Health center concept design plus scope of work: We will use the results of the property assessment and consumer survey to inform the scope of work for the planned health center.
  • Hospital interior demolition: Completingnecessary interior demolition before new construction begins.
  • Interior construction permits: Review of plans and permitting for the necessary interior construction to begin the neighborhood hospital renovation.
Next Steps
  • Hospital interior construction: Once the hospital construction permit is approved, construction will begin.
  • Demolition of the remaining hospital: Once permitting is approved, we will begin demolition work of the unused section of the former hospital building to make way for the health center.
  • Construction of the West Grove campus health center: Once demolition is completed and permits are approved, we will begin the construction of the health center.
  • Phased activation: Time to move into the campus and welcome our neighbors!
