Lower Your Risk of Heart Disease & Stroke

The Advanced Lipid Clinic can work with you to lower your risks if you have:

Recurrent heart disease, stroke or pancreatitis even after typical treatment.
Difficulty tolerating statin medicines.
Family history of early heart disease.
Genetic lipid disorders, such as familial hypercholesterolemia.
Other lipid disorders, such as very high triglycerides or high lipoprotein (a).

Board-certified Lipidologists

Caregivers at the Advanced Lipid Clinic are board-certified lipidologists. These are cardiologists and cardiology nurse practitioners who have extensively trained to treat the most complex cholesterol disorders. They have obtained certification through the American Board of Clinical Lipidology.

Treatment Plan

Our board-certified lipidologists and care team will work closely with you to make the treatment plan that is best for you and your needs. Our cholesterol clinic services include:

Screening and testing for cholesterol disorders.
Education and support for lifestyle changes (diet, exercise and quitting smoking).

Genetic testing and counselling for familial hypercholesterolemia and other inherited lipid abnormalities.
